Dental implants involve embedding a small artificial tooth root into the jawbone and gums to restore strength, function, and stability. A natural-looking crown is then placed on top to complete the restoration.
Whether you're replacing a single tooth or multiple teeth, dental implants are designed for long-term use - offering a fixed, durable, and natural-looking alternative to removable dentures. They allow you to eat, smile, and speak with ease.
Your journey begins with a consultation with our treatment consultants and surgeons, who will provide an unbiased assessment to determine your suitability for single or multiple dental implants.
To ensure a successful surgery and to establish precise placement of the tooth implants, we start the process with a 3D cone-beam scan.
1. Implant Placement
A titanium post is carefully placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic. This acts as a replacement root and foundation for the new tooth.
2. Healing & Integration (3–6 Months)
The implant fuses with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration. Temporary teeth may be provided during this healing phase.
3. Abutment Placement
Once healed, a small connector (abutment) is attached to the implant to support the final crown.
4. Crown Placement
A custom-made crown is secured to the abutment, completing the restoration with a natural look and feel. At Anew Smile™ Adelaide, we use the latest technology and a compassionate approach to ensure your experience is smooth, stress-free and successful.
Dental implants are securely fixed in place, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile comfortably – unlike dentures, which can shift and may need adhesives.
Implants restore full function and appearance, helping you feel more comfortable and confident in everyday situations.
Designed to look and feel like natural teeth, implants offer a discreet, permanent solution. Dentures, though customisable, can feel bulky and take time to adjust to.
Implants stimulate the jawbone like natural roots, helping maintain bone density and facial contours, something dentures can’t provide.
Implants don’t affect neighbouring teeth and are easy to clean, supporting long-term oral health more effectively than bridges or removable dentures.
The cost of single or multiple dental implants can vary based on several factors:
